History of calumet county bank
Calumet County Bank was founded in 1921 and first located at 214 N Main Street in Brillion, Wisconsin. The bank opened on November 12, 1921 with capital of $35,000 in comparison to 2007 year-end capital of $8.5 million. In 1934, the bank accepted membership to the FDIC. Calumet County Bank became Brillion’s only bank in 1937 surviving the Great Depression through acquisition of assets of the Farmers and Merchant Bank of Brillion.
The bank moved to its current address at 103 N. Main Street in March of 1938. The building has undergone extensive renovations in the years 1967, 1983 and the latest completed in 2001. In 2004, the bank expanded to a second location at W443 Veterans Avenue in Sherwood, Wisconsin. Calumet County Bank was merged into State Bank of Chilton on June 1, 2016.
