make purchases at many point-of-sale terminals in grocery stores,
gas stations, etc.

Check Card couldn't be easier. You can use it everywhere Visa is
accepted - at over 22 million locations worldwide! You can
even use it to pay for purchases by phone, by mail, or on the
Internet. The amount will be deducted from your checking account.
Plus, you'll always get a receipt for easy recordkeeping, and every
transaction will be detailed on your monthly checking account
statement. The Check Card helps you manage your money better, because you know
exactly how you are spending it.
